Our Shed Captains volunteer their personal time to maintain our fleet and rowing facilities. It is the responsibility of all members that we use our Club resources with respect and care to ensure that we operate in a way that sustains our present and our future.
Launching boats Please take particular care when removing boats from the racks. Boats must not make contact with other boats or the racks and must never touch the ground even when in the water (i.e. they must be launched at an appropriate depth).
Similarly, take care when removing oars from the rack and placing them on the pontoon or shoreline.
Returning boats to the racks Boats and oars must be washed with soap and fresh water, rinsed and dried before being returned to the racks. As with removing boats from the racks, take care when returning the boats to their racks. Oars must be placed neatly in pairs and returned to their designated oar racks.
Shed security The last person to leave the shed must ensure that:
all exterior and interior lights are switched off
windows, doors and roller doors are securely locked
water hoses are turned off and hung up on their hose racks.
all equipment (oars, tinnies, trestles etc.) has been secured inside the shed.
In the event of any damage, including accidental, to equipment please notify your Shed Captain as soon as possible.
